This is a special module for nesting rectangular parts on rectangular sheets.

The module "Rectangular Nesting" is a specialized module for nesting of rectangular parts on rectangular sheets. Unlike shear cutting, there is no restriction on the type of cuts to be guillotine cuts in rectangular nesting.

This type of nesting is typically used in cutting steel or glass plates into required sizes, cutting of wood sheets to make furniture, cutting of cardboard in to boxes, and in placing of advertisements on the pages of newspapers and magazines. While base module in NestLib^® is also capable of fitting rectangular parts on a rectangular sheet, this module makes use of optimized and specialized algorithms available for 2D rectangular bin-packing.
